Yes, that’s true. As Key said, we’ve always been at the forefront of creating furniture that not only meets but anticipates the needs of our customers at U-LIKE. Today, we’re thrilled to share the latest milestone in our journey: the launch of our state-of-the-art Research and Development (R&D) center. This is not just a department; it’s the heartbeat of our commitment to innovation and excellence.

If you’re reading this, you definitely want to know what R&D is about. Actually, R&D stands for research and development; “it’s a creative and systematic process that involves increasing knowledge and finding new ways to use existing knowledge,” according to the official explanation. In business, R&D can be a valuable tool for a company’s growth by researching customer needs and the market.

However, our usage of R&D will be a bit different from the basic standard.

In its first year since the launch, our R&D center has already made significant strides in the industry. Here’s a snapshot of our accomplishments:

Exhibition Sample Preparation: Our skilled craftsmen have brought design drafts to life, offering a diverse range of products and designs for our clients to choose from during their sourcing trips. We’ve prepared samples for the major international furniture exhibitions, including but not limited to the CIFF Fair and Canton Fair in Guangzhou, Cologne Fair in Germany, and Furniture China in Shanghai, both in this and the upcoming Fairs next year.
Number of Samples and Designs: Over 1500 samples across more than 300 designs, with over 80 new products introduced.

A Milestone of Made Significant Strides in the Industry

Sample Control and Quality Assurance: We’ve implemented stringent control measures to ensure that every finished product is a faithful reproduction of the design draft, achieving a perfect match.
Standardization of Materials: We’ve standardized the use of materials across our products, including the weight and thickness of sponges for different chair series, the dimensions and rotation degrees of swivel plates, the size and parts of the base feet, and the various shapes of chair legs tailored to different heights and customer needs.
Consistent Quotation Information: We’ve standardized our quotation process to provide our clients with consistent and clear pricing information.
Standardized SOP Documentation: All sample-related documentation follows a standardized SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to ensure efficiency and consistency.
